Any experience of them? I'm looking for something firm but comfortable for long and multi-day rides and these look pretty good. Cheers.

I don't think I have the patience to break in the Swift/my arse! It's impacting my riding too much so it's on the way to it's new owner. I have no doubt that it could be brilliant given time, but it's not for me just now.

Used Rohloffs are like hen's teeth, best of luck! That'll be a nice combo though.

I've got a Koobi prs. Nice and comfy, but not very light, and finish quality doesn't look great, but it's been reliable so can't really complain about it.

i know i missed out on a tandam hub with a kris holm 29er rim on it went for 550 - i set my alarm to houston time (as i was in houston) forgetting the auction was on uk time !

agh, doh!! What a bargain at 550 though!

Cheers Ian. Does it stay comfortable for long distances? The PRS is quite wide...any chafage?

i've had a few koobis in the past. the enduro and prs enduro were too wide at the back for me. i used the prs enduro for a long time quite happily on a bike i rode with a fairly upright position. the tri was a little narrower but still too wide.
i also had another prs, at a time when they only did one model it was black red and white striped. it was narrower than the enduro prs and i wish i still had it.

What would a Rohloff with about 100 or so miles on it be worth?

brian that would depend on what config - what wheel its built into , what rotor is on it , sprockt and what torque arm you had for it ..... or that would all make it worth differing ammounts to me.....

*joke* obviously less than if it had been fully bedded in ๐Ÿ˜‰ *joke*

drop me an email if your serious - i tried to send you one but failed at the first hurdle - finding your email ๐Ÿ˜€

Burt, I completely missed your post. Thanks for the offer, might well take you up on that

edit - ah that's the soft one...would probably hurt my rs too much on the longer rides I think!

I bought a prs back in 2003 or 2004, red, white and black strips. It was and still is very comfy compared to other saddles I'd tried. I bought another one, in black, a year or two later for my second bike. They both still perform and are comfy. In the 6 ish years I've had them I've changed the rails on them both as after 4 years the Ti rails bent so I got new Manganese rails through Koobi for not all that much cash.

I didn't get on with the prs, thought it was like sitting on a wooden saddle. I've another, perhaps the Enduro, can't remember,it's on the road bike which I haven't used for a couple of years - comfy IRM but too wide for mtb imo>
