Apologies in advance for another 1x10 question good people of ST world
I would like to turn my singlespeed Unit 29er (which i love riding) into having a 1x10 setup for the summer.
Will i be able to run my singlespeed front chain ring setup (Truvativ) or do i need a specific one?
Also will i need a chainguide? the one's i have looked at don't fit the Units 27.2 seat tube diameter or are there any out there that do people could suggest?.
I have wheels,derailleur,hanger and shifters its the rest of the drive train that confusing me?!.
Any advice gratefully appreciated or any pictures of 1x10 Units....
I had 1x10 on my old Unit, used a Paul's Components seat tube mounted guide; had to get it from the states and it was about £45.
I now use a £15 Superstar bb mounted guide which works just fine.
Your chainring should be fine.
