not sure if it's complete link , i dug out a Kona catalogue from 2007 and found this in there .Wonder who made them and would it be asking for trouble getting it as they didn't seem to put them into production ?

Unusual yoke. As you say buying could be risky. Could have odd geom or anything.

This is really weird .There was a link put up to Retro Bike(which disappeared ?) about these frames dating from 2007.Confirmed my suspicions about them being made in Russia .I remember speaking to someone from Kona's U.K. distributors .He told me that they looked at the sample and weren't happy with the quality so refused to bring them into the country .

Top tube is pretty short for a 19" Kona. Chainstay detailing is gopping. I have trouble thinking this will be a collectors item, which the seller is hinting at.

i owned one (2nd hand) a good few years ago, that don't look ANYTHING like mine, best guess is its an original which some amateur Ti welder has mutilated

You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind Kona King Kahuna mountain bike frame. This was a one-off frame made by Kona...it is NOT A PRODUCTION BIKE! This frame was made sometime in the mid-late 2000s, it is not the same as the 1999-2000 King Kahuna which was also titanium. The frame was built up, ridden once in a parking lot, and then debuilt. It has no actual use and the frame is next to new!
- for £600 i wouldn't touch it with yours !!!!!!!
