Hi, feels like I'm being a bit thick here but I'm having difficulty removing the brake calipers from my Paddywagon. They don't seem to remove as easily as road bikes, am I missing something obvious here?

There isn't a brake nut to loosen and there doesn't seem to be anything to loosen with an allen key.

Help!

The brakes are the Tektro R538 brakes that came with the bike.

There should be a small tab you can flip up to open the caliper.

5mm hex on the back on my 2014 bike. It's pretty obvious though so I can only assume yours are different

Replaced mine with R650 long reach Ultegras. Made a big difference. And they don't rust like the Tektros did.
