Anyone else find that the Magic Link on their Kona has a really annoying squeak? Seems it needs almost constant lubing. Just checking that this isn't a fault on my bike and that it's a general hassle for all Magic Link users?
I'm of the understanding that one can purchase replacement elastomers - just not sure from where......
I've had mine apart a couple of times, cleaned it, lubed it and the squeeking has stopped. A strange as it seems, it happens on mine (2008 Coilair) when it gets loose and I find that tightening the wingnut to the correct length on the bolt helps to cure the squeek.
Now, chain rattle on the same bike - of you could cure that.......

I'll give that a go, sort of glad it does happen to other people and it isn't something broken etc.
Know what you mean re: chain rattle. This bike is a Cadabra and chain rattle has been stopped by using a chain tensioner and getting shot of the big ring!
No ISCG mounts on my Coilair, so have gone with BB chain device to see if that helps, oh and some inner tube wrapped around the chain stay - Alps styleeeee.....
