I remember when I could go out on the bike whenever I wanted but sometimes made excuses not to{pishin down with rain, just go to pub etc}but afer a recent operation on my knee{8weeks}Im back on the bike in all weathers but still cant do a full spin of the pedals{getting there with seat up}.Moral of the story, enjoy it while you can

Early days. Keep working steadily. Remember the joy of being able to get the pedals all the way round after a knee injury early this year, one of my happiest cycling moments.

Enjoy it while you can +1
Heal well.

I snapped my patellar tendon in feb last year. I was in a full splint for 5 months and off the bike until September. Started to think I'd never get full movement back and the first few commutes were awful (as you describe couldn't do a full pedal stroke) it did get easier though and I'm back out on the bike at every opportunity. Stick with it but don't over do it.

Really attack the all around lower limb rehab exercises too. A good physio should point you in the right direction but sadly they are hard to find! If not then you may well get into bad habits and aggravate the knee more (even off the bike). May I ask what is up with your knee gordi?
