Thinking of doing a Lakes'n'Mountains style package holiday with the GF, not purely for MTBing but would like to do a couple of days while there. I'm pretty sure finding trails won't be an issue, what about renting decent bikes? Are there companies there? There used to be / might still be a Kitz_Chris on here - is he still?

Danke Schoen

Not much in the way of marked trails (the Ehrenbach was the only one when I went), but loads to go at. There's a decent bike shop in town that does rentals run by an English guy, but the name escapes me. I enjoyrd it for two days til I broke myself and spent the rest of the week laid up drinking beer. I can recommend the Hotel Hofer if that helps. Cheap and cheerful, bike-friendly.
