it's a conspiracy to keep mtb'ers out of the main wood, you cycle from the main centre to this supposed 'mtb' area and then are too knackered to ride the main wood!

IIRC - Theres no purposed built trails if that whats you were expecting. It's just an area, where we are 'allowed' to ride, as the rest of the forest is supposedly off limits.
The fact that the locals who live around the kinlet area then try to block the trails that we use, is the icing on the cake.

Personnally I totally ignore kinlet and enjoy the rest of the forest.

....is it just me who think the roxel compound looks like a set from a Gerry Anderson series?

There are one or two half decent trails in there...its an area as said before to move people over there away from the rest of the forest...

Dont know if anyone noticed, but we were out on Sunday and it looks like some more fencing etc could be going up, more to the collection possibly ??

Yeah that main bridge being out is a bit of pain, ok when the water is low...

Which bridge would that be muddypuddle ? I know every inch of the forest 😉

We have a good small Sunday/mid week following now if you fancied joining us ?

MP, you on about the bridge that "houns built" (I know he didn't really), it's on the "camber" trail - ends not far from where you missing bridge is, go up the "fireroad, towards the bewdley, then there a open area on the right by a stream, the path leads out onto this area - if you reach the "new" concrete fireroad, you've just past it.
Does that help? Or just more confusing??

Calling it a "Conspiracy" is just a joke, but the fact remain, they'd rather we didn't ride "off-road" in the main forest.

I thought he was talking about the camber run.....they have dumped a load of fencing/barbed wire and gates at the end of it.

Pretty dangerous, because we did the 3 bears run (opposite side to camber) and all this crap was at the end of the run, which is quite steep and quick...

We use another link/forum to sort out the times/places etc.

Just drop me an email, under my profile. Cheers.

i mean if you go over that bridge muddy puddle is on about and up to the right (i think they have tarmaced one of the routes, we normally stop by an old house up in the forest for a drink , i noticed a track just down the hill in fornt of us which was pretty good!! never seen it before and ive been riding there for at least 8 years!

Yeah, that was there when I went over with Mick Arms the other day. Looked like they intend to fence off the bottom of the camber. 🙁
There was a load more to the right of the top of the concrete climb out of there too...

I found some great trails in Kinlet North on Monday I really enjoyed it, nice flowy single track all the way down to the stream at the bottom. You have to see it as part of your ride and link it into more riding on the other side.

Do you all ride out every Wednesday?

Kinlet North has some great bits of singletrack, certainly enough to keep you occupied for a couple of hours. It does as has been said suffer from trail sabatoge. and as evil-ed says link it into a ride on the other side for a full days ride
