Ello,
I have a threadless CK headset from around 2006.
I've had issues with it working loose and creaking, it's been away for inspection twice but nothing was ever found. I believe it's due to the travel of my forks over working the o-ring bearing cap (common issue it would seem)
I see Chris King now do Griplock bearing caps with a proper split compression race.
Anyone know if this cap is compatible with a 2006 ish headset ?
If so is the stack height the same ?

If it's a standard 1 1/8 yes it'll fit.
The stack height looked the same one the couple i've changed.
