Hi …Does anybody own a Kinesis Tripster v3 Ti ?
im trying to gauge what size I am , the official website says I’m sort of in between a 54 and 56 ,
im 5-9 1/2 with a 33 1/2 inside leg . So long legs short body
Any advice would be appreciated
thanks
I'm 5,10" and 32" inside leg and went with the 54cm TT on my Tripster V3. (running a 100mm stem)
I do have slight issue when using it in winter with toe overlap on mudguards, but as soon as trails are drier and the guards come off this issue disappears - its been a bloody awesome bike and is so versatile (been used as winter roadie, bikepacking bike, graveller, etc)

I'd go smaller, they do not have a lot of crotch clearance. I've never agreed with the size guide, even when I sold them I always made the rider try both sizes before building a bike up. I'd say 90% of the time they went one size down from recommended
I road the shop 54cm but in every other road or gravel bike I've ever had I was on a 56
I’ve got a Tripster AT and went for a size smaller as well - same for my 4S.
OP have you ridden another drop bar bike? I couldn’t imagine spending that much money with out know exactly how it’s going to fit. Either because I’ve had a bike fit or because i know the geometry of another bike that I know fits for comparison. If you’re not familiar with geometry numbers the retailer should be help you compare to an existing bike
Hi …At the moment I’m riding an On One freeranger in Medium 90mm stem 170mm cranks it feels good except for a lot of toe overlap and I’d like to be slightly higher at the front …The 54cm Tripster does pretty much match the medium freeranger and that’s the way I’m leaning at the moment, What I do gain in the 56cm Tripster is more front centre mm’s 32mm over the on one and 14mm over the 54 Tripster …I’ve pretty much decided to go with the 54cm it gives me 18mm more front centre and 7mm more head tube ..the reach is only 10mm more (18mm on the 56) ….sadly can’t through a leg over one as my LBS has to order in …
Thanks to all who replied
When I bought my Tripster the LBS kindly ordered in a 54 and 56 from the Kinesis demo fleet.
I had a ride out on each for 1/2 day.
5' 9 1/2" 32" inside leg, I like to sit up a bit, and the 54 was a good fit.
When I got to spend some time riding 'my' bike, I put a shorter stem on it.
Been set up like that for 7 years now.
