I am passing through Kielder next week via the Cross border and Bloodybush trails and was just checking what was open. The website says both were closed but should be open by August but we all know how reliable such estimates are.
Anybody got any recent knowledge?
Weve stayed at kielder campsite a few times this year. The whole of the lonsome pine is still closed, the only ones open when we were there was deadwater and theyve just re-opened the blue osprey route. I think the fire roads are open but the top part of bloody bush wont be, like the bit from when you get to the top of the boardwalks as thats all closed off.
We were told it should be open at some point next year.
There will be aoad closed 15/16th for the National 24hr.
