[Closed] Kielder - geared or SS?

So, who's doing Kielder single speed?

I'd thought I would originally, when it looked like it would be a massive mud fest (36:21 on a 29er).

But now it looks like it's going to be dry and fast, faster than a fast thing. So gears would be the sensible choice.

But will I then just get terrible single speed envy?

SS - because I'm too lazy to fit the gears on my 29er and because you have just jinxed the weather ๐Ÿ™‚

Drunken boast down the pub so SS might drop it down to a 16T though

That's the real problem with single speeding. I kept on telling myself that I was in control, and I could give up anytime I wanted to. But I just can't do it now. I'm trapped by my addiction with no way out.

I guess I'm going to have to go SS. At least I'll get back to the start nice and early.
