Afternoon
Anyone got an idea where I can find some size 3 flat shoes for a mate's lad? Usual LBS, wiggle, CRC, Merlin, do not seem to do them. Maybe just an odd size, between kids and adult women's.

Do people really buy their kids 5.10s?*
Mine just get Decathlon Kids Quechua "Walking shoes", typically under a tenner a pair, slightly more for the waterproof option if you want it (tried them once and she still defeated them by stomping in every puddle), soles are grippy/stiff enough for use with flats (although I'm sure 5.10s would be gripper), also good as general knock about mucky conditions footwear.
But there's not much point spending more as the little blighters insist on growing...
(*My kids are certainly not future EWS Champion in waiting).
Do people really buy their kids 5.10s?
Seen loads of nippers at Rogate Bike Park wearing them. My kid did ok with indoor footy boots from SportsDirect at that age.

Lots of BMX little rippers in 5:10s. My lad wore decathlon trainers until he got to size 1 when the 5:10s became possible (though they now do kids sizes). TBF they have lasted a fair while but now he is ready for a new pair. He rides BMX and MTB in them. If riding a lot a great investment.

We got ours from PedalaBike at FOD... for example (£49.99 from memory for last set in 3 and previous were size 1 with size 2's being used from a mate). They are the only shoes of ANY kind he ever managed to grow out of.
got a few pairs of 5:10's for my kids over the years. middle child has grown into the bigger childs shoes. not bothered for youngest though as its a bit of a waste at her current skill level. Buy them when they are on offer.
