i got my lad some junior MX ones from a show. Sorry cannot be more helpful but they fit perfect.

What about the G-Form arm pads used as leg pads - prob a bit too big still ? (wasn't a joke, just s thought as they are thin and conforming and flexible?) - might be too long anyhow?

Grazes are good. Seriously, you can probably find some for roller skating that will suffice. Apparently BS EN14120 is your friend.

I'd say use adults elbow pads to get anything decent at his age. We did this for my very skinny 10 year old and he fits large race face or dianese elbow pads on his knees/chins. Your lad may need the medium or small. We have tried kids pads (661 dirt jump ones), but he said they were very uncomfortable and would not want to wear them.

My two have both used 661 MX pads, eldest now has some small Raceface knee/shin's http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/kids-knee-pads-for-a-6yr-old

we bought ours mx trousers, cordura and armour from crc - more dh and 4x though
