What are your kids wearing? Looking at size 2 and the only mtb flat pedal specific shoes i can find seem to be FiveTens Freeriders at £50 a pop. Looks expensive.....

Any alternatives? Looking for something that'll keep MissChiefs feet warm and dry(ish) and be decent for pedalling....

What ever approach shoe with a good grip and waterproof is on sale in their size.

"Sturdy" Vans from the outlet at Mcarthur Glen or cheap online work well.

That being said my eldest has 5.10s and loves them.

+1. Current pair bought from a PSA on here last summer for about £35 I think. A lot cheaper than his regular need for new football boots....

Now that's how to make buying 5.10's a reasonable option (although I came to the same conclusion for my kids a while ago)

The shopping doesn't stop there; you'll need some better pedals next...

Cheers all. Approach shoes are my fall back option, just wanted to check i was heading in the right direction. Unfortunately the Evans offer doesn't extend to her size...
