[#11063784]

Jamima up the road has just launched her changing bag on Kickstarter. She designed it for wild swimmers but I think it’s good for anyone who gets changed outdoors.

Worth a look. Made by Carradice in Lancashire.

Looks really nicely made. Is it designed to give you some cover too?

I have one from Lomo watersports which is essentially a circle you change on, that zips up into a taco shape with your clothes in it. Nice and light. That one looks fairly bulky.

Cool that it's made from lorry curtains though 😊

Good luck to her, but I can see a lot of such swimmers, my wife included, using an Ikea bag for much the same purpose.

^^^

i'm in the ikea bag, damp towel that lives in the back of the car and get changed fast camp, but you only have to look at the ubiquity of the dryrobe to see how much cash people are willing to part with.

Yeah, true. MrsIHNs answer to the dryrobe was a tenner's worth of massive fleece dressing gown from TKMaxx...

That Fox bag looks like someone thought about what was needed rather than just chucking a logo on a plastic bag.

Scuba dry suits have come with changing bags for years and this thread has reminded me that I have one somewhere in the man cave.

58 pledges for bags so I guess some people think they’re better than an Ikea bag and it’s also great to see that crowd funding is still alive and well.

I had a look at that, but £75 is a lot of money for a changing mat.
am going to stick with standing on my dry bag when I am not hot getting changed at the car (which is most of the time while it is cold)

I’ve got one of these for biking and surf duties.

NORTHCORE GRASS CHANGING MAT

I also use a £5 big trug or an IKEA blue bag.

I overthought the changing mat.

£20 northcore changing mat and a £35 Booicore robe, £55 total and you can actually get naked in a car park without making the pensioners walking by faint...

£75? nah.

I think for mountain bikers getting changed in public carpacks change in a bag is a better option.

but the swim feral looks a good option for surfers/beach types.

Am also loving the grass mat. Sand is a real issue so anything that helps with it is useful.

FWIW Dryrobes are pretty much de rigueur for our local swim community. I can see the benefits, though I've been eyeing up the Lomo equivalent.

No need for a dry robe, they are just going for the label.
that said I have a Charlie mcleod version, but the lomo ones look fine.

Isn’t a Booicore towel the answer for getting changed in car parks?

To be fair, if you’re getting changed in a bike park car park then I’m sure it’s fine.

The Swim Feral lot are a bit more hardcore, swimming at Gaddings most days.
