Are footpumps good for it? Never really heard of people using them... Not to say it can't work.

The difference between ideal pump and not ideal pump is massive tbh, I think quite often people think they've got a quality pump so it'll work, but I've got a deeply non-quality pump which works brilliantly as it shifts masses of air, and a quality pump which is rubbish at tubeless.

Because you can't smash a lemonade bottle up. ๐Ÿ™„

Yes but if he uses the bottle to seat his tyre that gives him more time to smash penguins

Id done the rear with no problem at all but the front just wasnt playing. I took the core out of the valve and with my now deceased footpump being a twin cylinder you can get air in quickly. Ive done them before with no problem but today just wasnt a patient day for me ๐Ÿ˜€

If you've got enough energy to throw something, then you weren't trying hard enough. If you can see stars that just means you're doing a good job.

Lawmanmx, yep that's how I do it, although I cheat a little as I've got a Joe Blow high volume pump and I apply neat fairy liquid to the tyre bead (old Motocross trick), Single Ply Tubeless Tyres on wide tubeless rims are a dream, Dual Ply Non Tubeless Tyres are a challenge, but you've got to keep the faith and pump like ****!!!

Just wait for the explosion when he pops back out to the garage and finds the one he got on has deflated already.
