...I'd like to replace frame bearings before it requires dremels, hammers and swearing. But I'm 62 and I don't know how many more sets I've got left to do.

I think the trick is not leaving it until the balls are mostly gone and the outer race rusted into the seat. Bearing extractors are no good when the inner race comes out leaving the outer race behind.
