I can get a new bike on the NHS Bike Cycle to Work Initiative, with us being a Contractor to the NHS i was not sure i could do it.
So my question is what do i get? i think i am after a trail type bike?
I have been looking at the On-one 456 Trail
It seems good value, but what else is there to compair to it?
Not alot TBH.
๐ that is what i thought...
I will keep looking though ๐
BLOODY hell thats good for a grand.
Depends...you should be getting a bike that helps get you to work - so if you only have a road commute then a road bike would be easier to 'hide' amongst the Bike to Work scheme...if you hvae some offroad then knock your socks off...
No one outside the bike community understands the difference.
The CTW scheme people don't care either way, I wouldn't worry about that. The only restriction is that you're supposed to ride it to work more than any other activity, but it's never checked (how could they?) - other than that, the world's your mollusc, you could get a penny farthing so long as it's in budget.
I am not pulling the wool over anyones eyes. I do ride to work a lot and at the mo i am useing a CX bike for most of my commutes but my main/everyday MTB is getting a bit worne and needs some money spending on it. so i will be riding it to work now as the summer is 'here' i will be making detores over the moors.
Hence the need to a long traval HR, I dont think i could have a Pink bike again. (the 20" pink on-one)
Any other suggestions?
all the paper work is sent off, just have to wait for the bike to arrive i guess ๐
does any one know how long it takes to get the "voucher" back after the Hire/order form has been faxed?
