....tell me about them?

I'm of the opinion you can never be over braked, been doing more uplifts this year than trail riding and finding my Deore 615s a little lacking at times, often needing a decent squeeze when I'd rather concentrate on holding the bars and brushing a single finger across the lever instead....will Saints make this level of braking available to me?

Advice on pads appreciated too, they are coming with Shimano finned pads but I've had decent performance with Superstar and Uberbike's stuff in the past.

Cheers.

Oh no!

They are dreadful! The one fly in Shimanos ointment. No pads will save them!

Aren't you supposed to ask for advice 'before' buying something you are unsure of?

If they are anything like my Zee brakes then they will be great. Just stay away from Superstar Sintered as they howl like a banshee.

There awesome.. I swapped my XT's to saints on my 5..
Front wheel skids and endos are easily performed lol.
I've only used the shimano finned pads that came with them..they were a bit dull at first, this was remedied with baking them on he hob..
The rear pads got contaminated so I baked them, which left the front under performing. So baked the fronts.

I find the OE pads pretty hard, and noticably poor to bite when cold or they haven't been used for a bit (as you might expect with a DH oriented pad!) Get a little heat into them and they are fine, but first pull of the ride often leads to a minor butt clench if i've forgotten to warm 'em up a bit....... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yeah I know, haha!...but at the price they came along for I couldn't say no.

Get a couple of uplifts at BPW and FoD later this month so will give them some stick first and then start playing with pads after.
Cheers all.

I didn't like the last-but-one, pretty abrupt but the new one has better delivery imo. Still not my taste but I reckon they're decent

Right quite easy, open the box, fit them to the bike then go ride & form an opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰

I won't have anything but Saints on my bikes.

Just remember to warn anyone who wants a go on your bike not to grab a handful of brake when they stop unless they want to search for their teeth.
