Title is 'Scotland Mountain Biking The Wild Trails' by Phil McKane.

What a great book, 25 natural trails spread across all the regions.

Even a few pretty close.

Even has the coast to coast route of 300km.

Just what i want to start exploring the country.

Only down side was the price... £15.95 seemed a bit steep but looks well worth it.

Got it. The only grouch I have is the lack of detailed info on waymarks. Like a grid ref or other pointer on say, where a fording point is. Otherwise it's a good book. Mateys got The Lskes one which is similar & has some cracking rides in it.

Yes saw that there were quite a few in the series, might look at getting the lakes one as i am closer to most of them that the Scottish trails.

I guess it would be sensible to get the OS maps if you were going to do some of the bigger routes.

I am definatly going to look at doing the coast to coast next year.

The Mount Keen route looks great too.

If the weather is decent will try Route 4 next week.

Its Sanquhar to Wanlockhead aand back down in a big loop. Takes in Lowther Hill and the radar station. Stunning views from there.
