Our not so little lad is coming up to ten months old.. we're not too keen on the trailer idea..

I'm probably not going to be allowed to take him proper trail riding out on the moors etc.. so family routes at the trail centres and sustrans routes etc will be the order of the day...

Has anyone got experience of rack mounting child seats?

If so..
Is this a good choice of seat and are we gonna have fun?

We have one. Decent seat but if I were doing it again I'd get a Weeride mid mounted thing. He's on a LOCT now and the balance of the bike is much better with a mid mount.

Mid mounts are great coz the bairn doubles as a human air bag.

I've used a Hamax (kid sitting behind the rider) in Swinley no problems. You need to watch your food though.

I've got a hamax recliner, which attaches to the frames seat tube, bit bouncy on rough stuff, but otherwise great. Very easy to get on and off.

Limo is a good seat just try and get it as far forward as you can without putting your backside in the nippers face.
The sides totally project the kid and having it fixed to the bike rather than bouncing up and down is a must when they get heavier. Easy to get on and off.
