They are very slow to return i have taken them apart and rebuilt them and that did make them better.Should i by a spares kit with the parts or is it the walls of the cylinder that are causing the problem.
What about the main caliper pistons? Long shot but another perspective? Otherwise it maybe the rubber seals or piston ring seals - I wouldn't have thought it is the main cylinder itself.
My Juicy Fives do this, and have done since new. Do update the thread if you discover the cause!
jordie, glad you posted on this subject, one of my Juicy 7 levers is very sluggish to return.
I have no idea what the solution is though.
mine goes like it at the start of a cold day but is fine by mid way though once evrythings warmed up
Sounds like a sticky master cylinder piston, hayes strokers have had this problem, took my strokers apart twice as both levers were at it, a touch of grease in the bore sorts it, but, the right lever was'nt playing ball so in try it and see, put in and old nine piston as its the same thing and sorted.
Use a grease (unlike me) that does'nt knacker rubber, mine are fine and have been for ages now and during all this, can completely strip and rebuild my brakes now easy peeezie. Should'nt need new brakes for years really.
Had a few returned with this problem, often caused by the owner using spray lube on the pivots that's not compatible with the seals, causing them to swell and stick.
