Having Juicy issues.
After changing wheels and various other things I lost some brake fluid.
I have the bleed kit and have bled them ok before.
No joy this time though. I bleed the line etc then get to the point where the calliper syringe eases out the lever.
This works and I can feel the pressure pushing on the lever. I then finish as per the kit but there is absolutely no impact from pulling the leaver. Goes straight flat to the bar despite feeling it push out.
Tried it twice with no joy, any help please !!!
They are 7's but not sure if that matters on this one.
Ignore the manual, do it like this guy:
..and make sure the lever reach adjuster (grub screw) is wound in. it's a PITA but they won't bleed with the levers set close to the bars
Listen to br - that video is ace
I will try again tonight, like I say pta last time but did work well.
I guess what surprises me is it feels like there is literally zero pressure.
I'll do break the calliper while I'm at it, actual cause of last nights problems is a stuck piston.
any tips for lubricating and cleaning.
I have red rubber greace but I'm not sure I'll ever get them lose enough for that to work.
I've just junked 2 calipers as the pistons had seized in both - couldn't even get them out with a compressor and brute force (molegrips/hammer etc).
You can buy a piston/seal kit (which I did), but don't wait until they seize...
You selling them then br ๐
so neither piston will budge. It must be technique as they stopped on the commute on Tuesday so one of them moves. What are your home made piston poppers for juicy ?
What do I do next.
I have 3 spare sets of pads and the real bleed kit so don't fancy swapping them...and er I can't afford to
