Hi,
So due to a woeful lack of maint on my part it appears my rear caliper has a stuck piston, I've no idea how long it has been stuck but I'd assume it to have been this way for some time.
Now given the amount of pull on the lever of a juicy 3 I've never been a massive fan of them anyway - they came fitted on my P7.
So my question is, attempt to repair the existing brakes, or just plain replace them with a set of SLX's?
Your opinions please ....
Strip the caliper, remove and clean the seals and their housing, clean the pistons too and reassemble with silicone lube.If you then spend a bit of time bleeding them properly and aligning the calipers perfectly you'll end up with a fairly decent lever feel(and yes, I work on them regularly and know they're a PITA to get a decent feel to them, but it can be done).
