Not got one, so no, but have you checked there's no play in the headset?

As above, is the truss preloaded on the headset enough?

No, 6 years on mine and still with the original head set, thousands of smooth miles ridden and still as good as new.

I haven't got one, but was thinking of of getting one, perhaps when JJ finally goes for the Ti Diamond 🙂

The Niner RDO I have at present gives some stutter/judder so was wondering if it's a rigid fork thing

I'll check everything - HS, rotor etc

Cheers

You'll never fit on a Jones you lanky streak of piss. 😉

Compared to every other fork i've used the truss is by far the stiffest so i think you'd struggle to get any kind of judder going on.

The curved toptubes help with the beer storage organ. 🙂

So, 23" is a huge frame, no?

23" is the ETT. Aren't all Jones frames one size?

The ebay one is a Merlin, so there's a chance it's custom?

Having said that 23" is sounding familiar as the one size fits all JJ geo...

Merlin used to make for Jeff- I think he did a 23 and 24 for a bit but now does just one size cus the geo is clever

23 is the ETT.

It'd be way too small for you.

Are you sure it's the fork? I've had occasional judder on my truss and my jones uncrown - common parts: brakes and wheels, I would put money on the brakes over the fork

I had judder from an XT 775 caliper and older 6 bolt Shimano rotor on a ti truss. Changed the rotor, pads, mount, the lot, still happened. Next I changed the brake for a newer 775 I had and it went, no judder at all. I concluded the fork is so stiff or I was able to brake that much harder with it that it was showing up an old brakes problems, worn pistons or something, that I never felt on the sus fork it was on before.

I'm 6' 4" and have the 24" Merlin version, others at my exact same height have the 23. In retrospect I think I could have gotten away with the 23 too although I think Jeff says they're for those upto 6' 2"
