In the process of saving up for a Jones. Thought I'd get ahead of the game and become familiar with he H bar (alu). I already have a Thompson X4 stem.
My question is do the brakes/shifters attach in the normal way? (Elixir R/SRAM X7)
Has anyone any direct experience between the loop and cut versions? I'm leaning towards the loop bars as if I dont get on with them I can turn them into the cut version myself. What was your preference?

Loops for me having tried both- give more hand positions and better for mounting lights

Brakes are fine- what are shifters for ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you dont like them just sell on don't cut them

I use H-bars on my SS, but fitted [full] Loops on my Swift, as the Loop bars control area is of a more conventional length (so brakes / shifters fit tidily alongside one another).

The SS's H-bars'll get swapped out for full loops too at some point, given the versatility of ride positions / room to put stuff on the Loops.

Not sure I quite get the idea of the cut versions - I love my H-bars, but the Loops are another step on for me in terms of ride comfort.

So anyway, yeah, stuff fits in the 'normal' way.
