looking at getting some ergon grips due to issues with ESI foam grips being really slippy when wet, noticed a few people using ergon but which ones? these

Hi Rich. I use ergons (on jones) but it looks like they've 'refreshed them' as mine aren't quite that shape or colour. They look pretty similar to me.

Probably close to the first link but less curvy. Gloves are worth tinkering with for long distance comfort with ergons too

Get the Biokork Ergon grips - they kill vibration - I've had no nubmness on long rides.
And I do long rides.

I used GS1s on my Jones loops for the Tour Divide. Considering the mileage my hands faired well.

GC1s on my Jones bars and decent gel mitts - survived quite a few single day 300km exploits

I find I'm more sensitive to the shape of ergonomic grips than I'd perhaps have expected, so ended up feeling my way through a few different sets before settling on the ones I use now.

Probably no help to you whatsoever ๐Ÿ™„ , but I found that the (Specialized grips) suited *me* better than anything else.

GP1's on my not Jones but same angle soma sparrows. I run then at about 45 degrees to the vertical so there is no wrist kinking. This does seem to work as intended but looks a little odd. My bars are pretty narrow, mind. I love the grips though, when set up properly they are wonderful.

It seems pointless commenting on a loooong ride thread after Rob C has spoken....buut, I've tried various Ergons and they're all good tbh. Interested to try those GC1 for swept bars, I didn't know about those.

I love my Ergons with the stubby bar ends built in for my SS but they don't work on the Jones. The bar ends stick out and become spectaculartly good at hooking onto bushes ๐Ÿ˜‰

my personal experience of the biokork is that they nowhere near as comfy as the standard rubber type and were really jarring in comparison. i would not buy them again and love ergons normally

Though they talk about "correcting" for sweep, which seems slightly at odds with the idea of riding Jones bars in the first place - though obviously they aren't going to turn them into a straight bar

The GC1 puts the wide part of the grip exactly where you need it because of your angle of the wrist on the swept bar - it's a very natural position. I've seen people try to set-up Jones' bars with no downsweep and wonder why they can't get on with them.

Saw https://www.alpkit.com/products/love-mud-confucius and thought of Jones bars yesterday, just a little cheaper. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can I ask is jones bars hand position further behind the stem clamp than other bars there by shortening reach?
