Riding bikes cost very little

You're obviously not doing it right......

You did it! We've hit and gone past our minimum target 🙂

Everything we get in investment from this point just means we can do even more.

ps. The funky piechart dial widget doesn't let me go over 100%

I certainly beacame adept and keeping what I had working well. Needless to say there was a significant NBD once the house was kept in my name and a few bills were paid .

Is £42k going to be enough? It just about covers the loan debt. Or 2/3rds an FTE.

I think Mark had answered this previously, and that loans etc were already covered by current finances etc.

It’s just not much money even with the loans covered. I think they will have to be laser focused on one big thing to achieve profitability and growth

After a lot of umming and ahhing I figured ‘why not’? Singletrack and the Singletrack team have done a great job of bringing me news, entertainment, and novelty over the past ~25 years. It’d be good to see this continue and change to offer some of that to the mtbers of the future.

Best of luck Mark & co.

Thanks 🙂

NOTICE:

We in the final hours and although the campaign doesn't end until tomorrow night (Tuesday 4th November) to account for the 24hr cooling off period you need to sign up today for your Crowdcube account.

Crowdcube will be your ongoing management platform for your shares and all the legal stuff, so it's vital you get your account registered with them asap. You won't be asked to commit anything until the 24 hour cooling off period ends so you don't need to decide on an amount or indeed if you want to invest at all, until the cooling off period is up.

Same sentiment from me, although I've not been here quite that long.

I think it was my joining that took it over the £50k target, (not that it really matters).

Chipped in a bit because, as others have said, Singletrack has been a staple for me over the past few years. I would like to see it continue for many more 🙂

She wants you safely in the office and not hanging round the house all day.

If we invest do we get priority QoS on the forum?
Maybe other innovative forum features like a poster kill button?
Please?

I'll just be satisfied being in an exclusive membership tier above Big Hitter.

Don't you KNOW I (part) own this place? 😁

Challenges with Crowdcube mean I can't buy in as a shareholder, unfortunately, but I have chipped in through the 502 club page. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks @nicko74

Your name is on the perks list and We'll be in touch about that in days after the campaign closes.

From the time the campaign closes there will be 4 day cooling off period. Crowdcube has all your investment cash but if you change your mind you can get it back in that four day period. Obviously I'm hoping that no one does. During that time I'm hopoing I can get all the paperwork sorted around the shares. Once all that's done and the money is in our account we can start the work - getting the perks sorted will be one of the first jobs for our new co-owners.

I've just tried to invest and the bank have cancelled my payment and asked me to contact them immediately.

I have the money, and I went through Marks link as a subscriber.. I don't think I've gone to a dodgy site..

Off to speak to the bank.

Bunnyhop and i have both chipped in a bit, more to say "thanks for being here, let's see if we can help you stick around a while longer" than out of any need to generate a massive return.

The campaign is now closed to investment. Thank you to everyone who is about to become a co-owner of Singletrack. In the end just over 200 of you invested a whisker short of £60k (two donations pushed us well over£60k).

We are now in the 4 day cooling off period.
All investors should have received an email from Crowdcube this morning explaining the process.

Once we have the final total after the cooling off period I’ll be in touch with all our investors to sort out your perks.

Thank you all for your support. It’s been incredible.

Had this through overnight, so that looks like it's all going to plan:

Chucked in a small amount at the last minute! Couldn't stretch to the hoodie level but will the lower level shareholders be able to purchase an owners hoodie?

Been a lurker on the forums for many years and only an ocassional buyer of the mag but during COVID I started to get my bikes in order again, so I signed up as a print+online member. I really appreciate being able to get away from a screen and read the physical magazine. Glad to help towards the sustainability of the business!

Cheers!

Ooh, does that mean with have a new level of forum snobbery?

  • Free Member – Peasant Tier

  • Full Member – Forum Bourgeoisie

  • Investor – Platinum Ego Tier

Is the investor tier now the aristocracy of the forum; united in status, divided like the Windsors at Christmas?

@pook

I've been in touch with Crowdcube and if you email them asap (like today) then they can sort out a last minute investment for you.

Same for anyone else who missed the cutoff..

Here's what i just got from our Crowdcube closing manager...

"We can open the pitch for them and allow them to make an investment as long as it's before we send the cooling off email.

If you ask them to email support@crowdcube.com as soon as possible if they do wish to do so, then we can hopefully accommodate their request."

It’s almost complete bar my signature on the most important document - signing the share certificate that makes it all done and dusted. Just waiting for that to come through from Crowdcube. In the end, after fees and stuff £58.2k arrived in our account yesterday. We had our second big strategy meeting yesterday too. But most important of all, we’ll be starting work on the extra benefits that our new 208 shareholders are due 🙂
