So replace with shimano or something else?

Taken it apart, cleaned it out and greased it up?
Mine seized, I replaced with [url= http://mtzoom.com/jockey-wheels/speed-wheels/ ]these mt zoom ones[/url].

strip, clean, grease, re-assemble.
Only worth replacing when teeth worn out

Get the tacx or bbb ones when the teeth are worn.

tacx are good and there's often deals on them - including the ceramic bearing version which I found to be very good.
