Ach. I thought you meant trying to out-run some wild canines!
Tally ho
Hmmm
Didn't realise they made stuff for the military. .... bit less keen on them now..
" sorry mr taliban, I can't chase you today, I had to send my forks away for a service"
I'm sure they understand...

My 2p;
1) I find someone who styles themselves 'eviljoe' complaining about this quite funny ๐
2) Don't buy a camelbak, Goretex, etc etc if military applications of products available to civilians bothers you.

Hope you don't use a Camelbak then....
:EDIT: too slow ๐ณ
........... or ever fly anywhere
...Or Oakley, or ordnance survey maps, Thermarest mats, Land rover, Harley Davidson, skittles, tabasco, yorkie, coca cola etc etc etc.
No, don't use a camelbak. As far as I can remember don't own any goretex.... but yes it is way easier to hold principals than to adhir to them.
'Evil' was a nickname given to me with a fair degree of irony!
Yes, I am aware that products developed for the military trickle down to civilian use, and we are often thankful that they do. But usually the military demand a high level of reliability and a long time between services from their kit? If fox can make a 'fit and forget' shock for military use, why can't they do it for ours?

THAT is a very good point!
because the DoD pay about a million dollars for each one probably?
That is also a very good point.
Also don't forget, no using GPS, devloped and run by the Pentagon.
I've met eviljoe. He's definitely not evil. Just so's you know.
That's a little arbitrary. How do we know what your reference scale is based upon? Have you created a zero and maximum value anchored to SI standards?
Well, on an empirical scale of Mother Teresa to Hitler, Joe comes in at round about a Martin Luther King and a half.
so,

I'd say

don't ever use GPS either.
