Sad to see him go, he's been a good servant but probably the right decision

xcgb, ever heard of google? It's quite popular nowadays...

Staff is a legend of BMX and track, hopefully he can retire happily despite the back problem that caused it.

absolute legend, gutted as it means our chance in London 2012 has just gone down. Granted we have a talented squad but he will certainly be missed. Watching him start the team spint was amazing, Hoy and co could barely keep up!

Who?

Amazing though it seems, there were other gold medal winners in Beijing alongside Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton...

according to the paper today he produces more torque than an F1 car for a brief moment in the sprint!

Fair play to the fella. Not many pro cyclists still going at that ripe old age. Make way for new blood for the Olympics.

Despite him doing so well on the track I'll always remember him as a BMXer. there are many good riders in the British team but I'm surprissed as he was more than up to the challenge.

Awesome rider. Often underrated/overshadowed in BMX (by Dale Holmes) and track (by Chris Hoy), but a mega talented rider with the medals and titles to back it up.

His nickname in BMX was The Powerhouse. Anyone who has seen the size of his legs and the power/speed they generate will know why!

Not quite in the same league as Robert Forsterman though:

Staff is faster for sure, if you watched the worlds Forsterman knocked out Hoy though by jumping him from the start with a mighty push from his starter...

Why would you Google someone youv'e never heard of?

Looks like Mike Modano could be retiring, he's 40 soon! Google it.

I was doing a job taking pictures of Jamie earlier today, genuinely nice bloke. His thighs are huge.
