Bit of commentary. Cycling Weekly on Twitter are mentioning the time vs schedule too.
What a dour crowd.
The whole thing just appeared odd. The commentary was awful, and oops he hasn't done it... What do we say now???
They went very quiet towards the end, you got the impression they didn't know what to say.
He was a couple of laps off doing it. I'm reasonably pleased that someone failed because it adds to the records difficulty.
He started by doing a 4:32 4k! No wonder he payed so badly in the second half.
