[#1365310]

Its a Hope ProII with Maverick conversion built onto a 650B Velocity P35 rim. Parts supplied by dinosaur bikesthat green should go nicely with the Mango IF paint job. Just need some more spokes and a rear hub now to finish the build.

650b?

Nichetastic!

Does it actually go any faster than 26" (or 29") ?

Depends on how fast I pedal ๐Ÿ˜‰

To sum it up it handles like a 26er in the Singletrack but rolls like a 29er. The only downside is the price of the rims/tyres. I really like it and prefer 650B to 29ers.

Can you get decent tyres in that size?

dont want to be a party pooper but your power spokes (the ones on the outside of the hub should be pointing forward. with a front wheel they point forward on both sides so the lace is different. on a rear the drive side point backwards to counter act the torque. but on the disc side point forwards. so the lace is the same on both sides. the lime does look very cool though.

Ok ok it's not that bad but the orange and white looks classy IMO but orange and lime. Might look a tad garish.

Q. What tyre for 650b?

A. Whatever you can get; they're like hen's teeth. Just be grateful you can still pay the mortgage afterwards.

I hope she doesn't see that stu. To think king wok could squeeze into one of Mandy's numbers is insane.

I've still not got round to learning to wheelbuild. It's on my list there no. 236, I think wheelbuilding a 650b lumo greem rim is further down the list somewhere! I'll get round to it

Nice to see a frame that was obviously designed by a craftsman and not by a computer.

A shame that the craftsman designer didn't manage to properly rub out the pencil lines where he first drew the top tube and some silly bugger frame builder put both of them on!
