Just greased all my bike pump seals, an annual calendar reminder, as I think it makes them last longer. (Awaits other opinions)

In no way meant disparagingly but you should join myself and many others on the Dull Men's Club on FB.

Already busy with the tight, Scottish men who own pumps that they don’t do spares for club. 😇

i used a Teflon based one (because it had it lying around)

I think I've had my track pump for getting on for 20 years now (Topeak joeblow something or other) and it has never seen a single (intentional) drop of grease from me. Still works fine.

Though writing all that down may mean it will turn to dust next time I look at it.

I've never done it but I might do it if I remember, which I probably won't

I had the a topeak joe blow booster and last year after many years of good service, it failed, regreasing the internals gave it a new lease of life.

I tried to grease my pump seal last year.

An interesting fact that not a lot of people are aware of is that some makes of pump have a tiny metal widget that immediately gets irretrievably lost when you take the pump apart. Although small it is very important.

Annual? Pfftt!

I've increased small bump sensitivity on my track pump by using slickoleum during the 50hr service.
