As long as you don't work with me - good on yer!

(may have been better not to post it on the internet, though...?)

one of our guys pulled a sickie to go do some ultimate fighting thing ..... trouble was he won and was in the local paper - instant dismissal & escorted off the premises by HR

OOPs - certainly wont be doing that anytime soon !

If you work for yourself, can you still pull a sickie ? Just thinking of going out on the bike for the best part of the day.....blue skies, sun is shining.... ๐Ÿ˜€

Apart from my very high moral standards ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm always paranoid that if I went for a ride when I'm supposed to be ill I'd break my leg or get badly sunburned, which would be rather hard to explain away.

I think they call it karma?

Better hope there's no-one from there who's also on here. Still, it's nice of them to pay for an extra day's holiday for you.

Shouldn't you have posted this in the "tea leaf" thread?

If you're HR dept are anything like those where I work, his competition in the tournament must have been about as tough as the average STWer.

I knew a bloke who pulled a sicky and went to Cwn Carn, fell off and broke his collar bone.

Had to ring his missus to come and pick him up from the hospital, she had to come by train and taxi to get their one car - that he had taken to Cwn Carn, then pick him up from the hospital and drive back home to Oxford. Took hours and hours.

Then he had to go to work and "explain" his now broken collar bone ๐Ÿ™‚

well just got back, no horror stories! ๐Ÿ˜‰

was absolutly amazing!

i also arent one to pull/chuck a sickie, but tbh im pissed with being the only one who takes my job seriously in the place.

i worked there now 9 months and im the only one who comes on time and give no shit.

so i thought leongang closes this weekend and im going to go up ๐Ÿ˜‰

so i did!!!
