Ok I love it, but hear is what I have finally built up, sorry it's a DJ frame, I know it's juvenile but I love it, plus I think I'll use it as an all mountain.
If you hate it that's cool.
Frame was £135 btw.

Please excuse the mess

Was it really £135? I didn't get that in your previous 3 or 4 threads about whether or not this frame was good vfm for £135.

How much was it again? £200?

sorry about the post spamming. but hay ho.

The frame only[/url], was £135 with a £15 voucher code on CRC. it's really heavy, geometry is kinda funny, but its a good deal, and I'm guessing it can take alot of abuse. 🙂

plus I think I'll use it as an all mountain.

i'm not at all jealous of all these bloody short-arses who get fun bikes made to fit them.

not at all.

(the only bikes that fit me are sold as 'comfortable', and 'efficient')

I just found a dent in it...
It's almost soul destroying, the fact that I've got to cups put in and the frame prepped and then to find, that... dunno what I'm gunna do I haven't even ridden it...I think I'm gonna ask CRC to take it back and stuff since its a manufacturer defect...
Any advice?
: (

Where's the dent? If it's somewhere unimportant I'd keep it, as you'll not find a similar frame for the money.

Ok man, I'm so sad to see it dismantled, it took a two weeks to get to this stage, but if its got a dent, its got a dent. I'll ask them to pay for the frame prep and replacement cups. It's a long shot but I can't I cant afford to pay out for all that again.

Thanks sambob for the advice seriously it's much appreciated. : )

Took some snaps of it, am I being overly anal? I mean it's a new frame so we it should be well, in good condition.

I was so delirious about getting it. It was my 18th birthday pressie.

My mum, sat down like an hour ago and said "hey Mik-ee you know there's a dent in your' frame?"

My stomach kinda sank...

Oh well what ya' gonna do, It's a gooden isn't it.

if i had ridden it for a bit and did that I'd keep riding it, but as it's a new frame and you're sure you've not dented it it's worth sending it back to get a refund or an exchange if they have another frame available.

Is the dent in line with your bars when you spin them?

I reckon your mum's trying to cover for dropping something on it.
Assuming it's steel, it's nothing.

Yes it is steel, but I'm feeling super miffed about it. Dunno why as I said perhaps I'm being 'overly anal'. It's been in a box in bubble wrap apart from the bike shops it's been to so I doubt it's something post manufacture.

even though it's a DJ frame, i'd send that back. always check stuff when you get it!

btw you're allowed to be juvenile if you're 18 🙂 if that was a mid-like crisis bike, maybe i'd take the piss.. 😉

They've still got some more in stock, send it back.

I reckon your ma's been dirt jumping on that whilst you've been out. 😀
She's not gained a plaster cast or a bad limp in the last few days has she?

Haha, thanks everyone who has replied about the dent its brightened up my day, that would've been kinda downed by the news of the dent.

No Rusty, although she went to bed rather early, a sign of some intense mountain biking I think, maybe she didn't land one of her 720, double backflip, supermans and dented it : ) shes always doing that : P

e-mailed CRC and they said no need to send back the frame, a new one will be dispatched in 24hrs (Friday) and all labor costs for transferring parts and frame prepping.

Used the above photos.

Yeah totally, I don't wanna hood wink anyone into buying something they didn't know had a dent. But anyone can pick up a 2011 Sanchez for 150-135. I was thinkings about selling it for about £50, is that too much (since it's basically free)?.

If I had a bachelor pad I'd buy it & put it on the wall for that price!

I'd eBay it, let the bidders decide its value, I reckon it'd go for more RRP is like loads more!

Thanks a nice idea man. If I was going to do that I think I'd choose RNLI or Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

I think I'm gonna eBay

no worries.

One thing to consider - selling on ebay will mean a minimum of a week of hassle, endless questions from idiots and the possibility of ending up with a non-paying bidder or someone who doesn't read your description and then complains about the dent.

How much would you take from me for a simple deal and the money transferred today?

Dave

PS - Completely understand if you still want to go the ebay route - just offering the easy way out 🙂 Feel free to check my history; it should show that I'm genuine.

Yes mike, it was mine. I built it up, loved how it looked, liked how it rode less. It was a nice enough bike but I eventually found I wasn't riding it very much and sold it.

Let me know.

No suitable frames to swap really... I've got lots of bikes, but I don't like parting with them 😉 n+1 and all that!

but it's still attached to the bike.

Not sure what that means...

anyway, that's too high for me. The most I'm willing to go to is £70 posted.

Take it or leave it.

Cheers,
