[#9910883]

Inspired by the fact that I just cleaned it, and it was such a perfect riding day, I thought I would put up a pic of my favourite bike.

Show us a pic of your single favourite (or only) bike, not necessarily in action.

My first "best" road bike, when new. I've still got it, too good to sell cheaply.

Good to see the MTB to road ratio is becoming more favourable. ^That Nicolai looks great, but the scenery is somewhat distracting.

My only proper mountain bike and the first one that's ever been the right size.

I've only done a few uplifts days and pootled around Sheffield so far. Can't wait to chuck it down an Alp

Probably this one.  I've had it the longest, and it's the one I'd save from a burning building.

All those road bikes were worrying me. Three Nicolais, two Banshees and a Hope later, the balance is restored.

I've been riding mountain bikes for nearly 30yrs now and my current Orange Four is the most capable, and fun bike I've owned in all that time. I absolutely adore it. She's called Thelma.

This is the first bike that is big enough for me. Neither perfect nor dream build, this bike is pretty capable offroad and my favourite yet. Dropper is on it's way. Heavy as hell. I love it.

Assuming that Rubber_Buccaneer's is a Geometron (rather than a standard Ion) that's four Geometrons on this thread so far. I think we risk coming across as a bit evangelical...

Probably this is the one I had the most fun on week in week out

[IMG] [/IMG]

But as times and circumstances have changed this is growing on me just for its comfort and sheer versatility

This one by a country mile. Old pic 'cos I've only just built it back up (and it's a bit different now) but I've not ridden anything that makes me grin more.

OP - tyres to skinny, bars too dropped, in fact, too road 🙂

This is my favourite bike:

[img] [/img]

Best handling bike I have ever ridden, balance is perfect, and the most perfect place to sit and pedal almost indefinitely.  The best way to see the countryside.

Don't know if this will be my favourite bike yet, but it's certainly the newest as it's only been out of its box for an hour! Yey for new bike day!

Not sure my main ride is one for showing off, but I bought it as a stop gap whilst I hunted for my dream bike. Year and a half later, the dream bike funds have been spent elsewhere and I'm considering it the best £500 I ever spent 😁

That is gorgeous, daern!

As for molgrips' bike, I can attest to the fact that it is a lovely specimen. It not only seems to do everything, it looks the part too! Everything just looks 'right', including the colour.

For all that, he's still wrong about mine...

Feel free to swap bikes for a ride, SR - it'll fit you I'm sure.

Muggomagic how are you finding the new Capra? I’m really tempted by one. How long did shipping take?

Thank you, that was exactly my thoughts when I opened the box this morning! I've always liked the X-Trail (and, in fact, Ridleys in general) so this is something of a dream bike for me. I've been finding that more and more recently I'm taking the full-suss out on rides where it's completely overkill, so I'm hoping this will fill the gap nicely and allow me to expand my travels on the road.

I watched the recent gravel threads, but none of the bikes really fired me up like this one did and sometimes you just need to follow your heart...and pick a cool colour too! 🙂

My only bike - used for road, fire-road (gravel) and easy singletrack.  Very quick uphills due to a lack of weight...
