Rip round with a mate this morning to get the weekend off to a good start.
Wet but fun.
You know the drill show us your riding pictures.
Short local loop trying to dodge the showers ☔. I failed 😂
The boats in the marina are definitely getting posher, and when that Euromillions win comes in, 'Summer Wind' will be the first in the Fazzini fleet!!

@rOcKeTdOg, what are those bars and bar-ends/inners please? They look like just what I need, are they comfy?
Cock Nostril last night, in between the rain.
Out the door from SE London to West Sussex on first 90km road loop with new bike. Liking it 🙂
Need to work on my picture taking....
Local loop round Tockholes and Rivington.
Dry dusty trails in Stirling.

Also graduation day at Stirling Uni.
They really don't give a shit about the rubbish littering the campus:

Despite a forecast that wasn’t too bad we had lots of rain at Llandegla today. Despite that, our nine year old girls put in a splendid show on the red and bits of black, special mention goes to the Sealskinz socks that kept their feet nice and warm, fantastic day! 🙂

The reckon race tyre on the back was definitely not the right choice. Couldn’t be bothered changing it though.
Cold but dry today, wet on the ground though! Only got one pic as we gatecrashed some of the Mills and Moors route amongst the Hebden classics.

@singlespeedstu think I followed your tyre tracks this am. Chuffing damp, riding solo with the dogs.

Every time I stepped outside today it either rained, sleeted, hailed or snowed so I've not been anywhere.
We did leave some tracks in yesterdays mud though up from Yarrowford past the old youth hostle then up to the SUW.
Different ride for us. Daughter won a 1939 Morris 8 Roadster for 12 months. You had to write as why it should be you. Went down to the NEC show to collect it. It was a cold ride back with no heater
Inspired by these pics and the prospect of a soggy spring to purchase a Win Wing and Mudhugger...
Well I had quite an unexpectedly mint week / weekend of adventuring
Went out on the road on Tuesday morning. Lumpy local shitty roads. I felt good though!

Gravel wheels back on for Wednesday morning trip to the office. Wasn't as wet on the trails as I thought it would be. And it was warm & sunny so that's a win.

Friday was a free day off work (thanks work). Went out for a walk in the peaks wi' the missus. Aside from a few showers it was glorious and the trail conditions were actually mainly great (see below also!)

lots of water coming down the dam. I suppose that's actually good to avoid a drought this year

Saturday local loop round the woods with the eldest. Training for a bike tour in May. We're both on Cotic Solarises of different vintages.

Given how good the trail conditions were in the peak on Friday I decided to go back again this afternoon on't eeb. Pretty much same locations as Friday.
Top o cut gate

Somewhere cheeky

Sunday Sunny Bimble.
Dumyat was like Sauchiehall Street (walk from sea-level you lazy lot) and so we did trails off the beaten track.
Panorama so click to see bikers:
Wish I had stopped for pics!
Some local exploration on the gravel bike yielded (in no particular order)
- nice new gravel climb through some old growth forest
- rolling grassy double track through said forest
- stunning loamy quad bike double track/dual slalom track descent though sun-dappled deciduous forest
- Strade Bianche-esque Perthshire farm tracks
- super slick muddy singletrack
- more slick muddy singletrack
- a bit more...
- final frantic TT home on lovely singletrack roads racing a slowly deflating front tyre 😖
I've been fighting back pain on/off the bike for so long now that I have recently genuinely been considering just sacking it all off altogether, but then one ride like that reminds me why I will remain, forever, hopelessly addicted to riding bikes 😎

No photos of me on the trails, but I did make it around the Cotswoldcross - I was more covered in mud than the bike by the end of it though as my Fathugger broke just before when loading into the car....

Currently sat at Glasgow airport waiting for a delayed flight to Tiree, stopped off in Grizedale on the way up yesterday, had a plan to ride the off piste stuff down towards Coniston (marked as Pro Lines on Trailforks) first one was pretty steep with some big washed out shoots, bailed on that and pushed back up and tried another, after a otb/barrel roll 1/2 way down, I thought better of it hike-a-biked back up and rode the normal stuff.

There's some steep stuff on that side Jimmy... Fair do's.

[/img] A Glorious spin around Rosedale.
I went down that same bit of cheeky that @el_boufador did on a Ladybower loop. Conditions not too bad, still, enough slippy mud on most climbs to have me stalling out.
Out Sunday with some neighbours...
Who doesn't like a puddle splash?

Monday is still the weekend, right? Right...?
Well, seeing as Saturday was blowing about 40mph winds and Sunday I'd have been better off with a kayak, I'm glad I managed an hour on the bike after work, even if it was avoiding all the mud. First daylight after work ride of the year, I might add! Tested out a few new bits of kit too, shirt, bag, kneepads. All good!!
