....... according to bike radar, Praxis are releasing a complete 11-40t 10spd cassette at XT weight & money at the Taipei bike show
Shimano might finally be on the case, too

Interesting.
No, I don't think Shimano will do 10spnickjb - Member

German Trickstuff has a 11-41 ten speed cassette.

But the price is pretty high, but dont think any aftermarket cassettes will come cheap. Think best cheapest option will come when Shimano will release a. XT version of their 11 speed XTR

Eh? That's just the 11 speed 11-40 they've always offered on M9000.
If Praxis genuinely manage XT weight and price it'll be a winner. I'll be impressed, as their existing range is more XTR money, and this is a first for them. All their chainrings are alu too, so assuming this is steel that's a departure.
First post here for me, just bumping this thread as the UK distributor for Praxis has the 11-40T 10 speed cassette on its webpage, it has updated the page today with a suggested retail price of £99.99:

The date for deliveries is June (tbc). It's fair to say that as someone interested in going to a 1x10, I'm a bit disappointed the price is so high compared to the US $129 (£85 is approx. $129)
Since the announcement of the Praxis cassette it has been announced that XT will be 11 speed and have an 11-42T cassette for around £80.
I'm on a 9 speed anyway at present so a move to 1x will involve a change of shifters regardless so limkilde's post above is spot on for me at least- wait for the XT 11 speed gear, which may be available around the same time as the Praxis in any case.
Happy riding!
