Im having a problem with my forks at the moment (rockshox rev 2009 110 - 140 uturn) where when i compress them whilst riding I hear a kind of flapping noise, like rubber being caught in the spokes of the wheel...Its very strange, almost felt like the calipers of the disc brakes were rubbing on the rotor, but that does not seem to be it...plus the red rebound switch at the bottom of the stanchion has started to rattle..what do you guys reckon?

Not sure about the flapping noise but you could try remedying the R adjuster by pulling itout/off (its an 3/4mm allen key in disguise)giving it a clean and putting it back in. There should be an o ring to help it click in place, though they do rattle a bit anyway.
