Hi Wrecker. No more adverts than usual (30% - compare that to other magazines...) but they're grouped together more so that the articles are clearer and less interrupted.

The chance of my postman coming before I have to leave for work is zero, so I'm having to wait until I get home before my very first issue of Singletrack magazine is in my grubby paws.

Curses.

EH...LEAVE IT...! That waffle is amongst the best parts of the mag. Something a bit different that makes it stand out from the other ordinary mags. I like it that someone has managed to sum up in words that crappy feeling you get when your sat in an office all week yearning for the hills, or the tingles of apprehension you get when you can sense the return of spring, longer days and dry trails.

30% adverts? Exactly the reason I don't buy magazines anymore.

Every 1 in 3 pages, both the reader AND the advertiser are paying for...

What do you think the adverts pay for! Without adverts there would be no magazine! Or at the very least the cover price would have to go up a lot!

booommmmm - that was it hitting the front door mat. No complaints from me although the postie might have something to say about the size of it!

@ Ladders

I read WideOpen Mag, which is very much of the same calibre as STW.

And yes, it has adverts inside it. Fancy video ads too.

Doesn't cost a penny to buy.

Same goes for IMB

Put this in the sticky, but I guess that's for the digital copy.

Mine arrived today. Fairly damaged - the cover seems quite susceptible. Nothing major, but lots of surface marks on front and back.

Just had a quick flick through - looks meaty. Plenty of nice photos for inspiration. Still looks like Singletrack. Should be good!

Maybe there could be a more expensive version without ads in it. Like the premier thing and ads on line.

Looks and feels good. I like the slight page size reduction (smaller than previous ST bigger than Privateer et al). As said by easygirl really good to have so much of the text printed on to single colour pages (white or any other colour) have always struggled with print over photos and a lot more so since the need to wear reading glasses as of 3 years ago. It also means a lot more pics with no text over the top detracting from the image. Looking forward to read (can't be arsed to walk upstairs for glasses).

Cheers folks, looking good.

Loving the new mag. My only complaint (that isn't really a complaint) is that I keep trying to separate what I think are two pages when there is only one! Damn you higher quality paper!

Enjoyed reading the feature on being a new parent which is highly relevant right now.

Good work fellas and ladies!

Count me as one of the very happy/impressed. Thank you and well done! It can't be easy to produce within the budget constraints and as such, the ad's are clearly justified.

The ad's have good quality images too ๐Ÿ™‚

Additionally, I was very interested to read Mr Worlands article, being initially sceptical in so far as the mainstream WMB 'Tech Ed' would be tempted to bring along the WMB/MBUK 'values' and 'ethos' into the STW arena.... I'm delighted to say that I've found his article refreshingly honest and thought provoking and my scepticism unfounded.

Oh, my copy arrived totally unmarked, unscathed and in PWO!

Thanks again.

Sorry guys - unimpressed.
Just cancelled my subs - read some of the articles and wondered if I was reading WhatMTB (the angles and family cycling article in particular).

I don't keep back issues, passing them onto kids in the street, so the
extra quality and price does not excite me (also noticed creased pages).
I've read every issue from #4 too!
