Just wondering whether to expect it when I get home?

went flop on the mat this morning.

Quick peak now suggests: a sweep stake on who the "unnamed industry insider" is. Cant be Brant, too many 4+ syllable words; UR BIK IZ SARACIN; Niner Air9 pornucopia; riding with the Cosa Nostra; ads; STW Towers favourite freebies; pics of northern wetness.

plus ça change

It better be on my mat when I get home - saw it in Tesco this morning. What are the advantages of being a subber?

sort of how i feel too, i'm not even bothered by the 'clean' cover. Post has been slow recently in defence.

Does the quality or value of the content decrease if someone else reads it before you?

What are the advantages of being a subber?

you can't look through a pile of mags to find a specific review/article as the contents don't appear on the cover 🙁

Innit.

But you do get to look at cover pictures that have been selected because they have big boring areas where headlines would go nicely, so stop grumbling.

Been thawed here for a week and post still unusually poor.

Perhaps the depot is still under 10ft though.

No.

If you stump up cash in advance as a subscriber and are told 'get it before the shops do' should that not happen?

Really must remember to cancel my subs when this issue arrives as it pretty much goes unread most issues. In fact I'm cancelling my dd now. Goes off to log into bank account.......done.

Hi all!
Sim and I worked all through the other weekend to make sure that we got the magazine to the printers on the correct day (for the first time in about five years.) This meant that the mag was printed the day it was supposed to be in order to get it on sale today.
Subscription copies were posted on Tuesday this week, with the trade copies held back in order to make sure that subscribers got them first.

We can't control the postal service unfortunately, but we do all we can to make sure that subs copies arrive before the shop ones. Short of couriering all the subs copies (which we do with the shop copies) we can't guaranteed that.

Being a subscriber does give you big discounts in our shop and in many other places around the country - 10% of whole bikes in some cases, so it's not all bad.

As for leafing through issues to find the contents you're after, we have a fantastic Mag Archive just up at the top of the page there. That's what I use (even though I have a stack of copies on my desk) 🙂

While I agree about dodgy deliveries I have to wonder what Royal Mail are doing with mine. If they were posted Tuesday, I still havent had mine despite there being deliveries for the last three days at least. I can only assume they don't see mags as a priority in the rush to get the bills to my door.

It is now Saturday and still no sign of 62. I have just been for my lunchtime roast pork sarnie and even the local newsagent has got his copies. Every issue about this time I have the same rant to self,'That's it, I'm cancelling the subscription and get the mag at the shop'. Of course once the mag comes I forget until next issue when I begin the whole process over again!

No sub copy here yet either ... in the scheme of things it really doesn't matter to me, as I've been a subscriber since day 1 and timeliness isn't why I subscribe, but maybe it's better not to make the 'get your copy first' promise to subscribers as then there's no unmet expectation to be dealing with. 😉

No subs copy here either (though it took Rouleur 10 days from the alleged posting date to show up); can't really be blamed on the weather as #61 came after the shop copies were out too. Not bothered about getting it in advance of shop copies, but at the same time would be nice.

The mag came off the printer on Monday and all subs copies were collected by RM on Tuesday. Shop copies were held back for collection from our printer until Wednesday. They are collected by TNT who start the newstrade distribution process that takes two days. The bikeshop copies are held back until Thursday and are collected by UPS and delivered on a next day service to reach shops on Friday. That's the process and priority in that process is always given to subscribers. We can't get them into the hands of RM any quicker and we already hold the rest of the supplies back in order to allow subscribers to get theirs first.

That said alarms go off with RM if less then 96% of copies are not delivered in three days. That's not happened so I can only assume that 96% of subs copies have arrived by Friday. That said 4% (If that's what it turns out to be) still represents several hundred subs copies.

But on behalf of Singletrack I apologise if your subs copy has not yet been delivered by RM.

Not arrived here, but I'm not getting my knickers in a twist about it or anything.

Everything seems to be taking an age to arrive (apart from CRC, but they use parcelforce I think).

Time Out usually comes on Weds and no sign of that either.

My copy isn't here either. But in all the time I've been a subscriber its alway landed very very early. Given crap weather and Christmas post, think I can cut you some slack this time. Better be good mind 🙂

No sign of my subs copy here yet - this is the first time in 62 issues it's been late. Apart from the one that never turned up at all.

Not got mine either. I don't mind too much as I ration it out over a few days rather than all in one sitting.

None here but the mail has been stop and start for a while now, first with the A9 problems a few weeks back then the more recent temporary ice age stopping everything in it's tracks. Monday...

The post here has been really up and down.
I sent 2 parcels out last week, both went 1st Class Recorded cos Royal Snail had suspended Special Delivery due to the weather. One got to mid-west Scotland in 2 days (from Manchester), the other took 7 days to get to Nottingham! Go figure...

Both were items I'd sold on the Classifieds here although thankfully the guy in Nottingham was pretty cool about the delay.

Deliveries seem to have returned to near normal, my subs copy has arrived.

Can only assume there's a huge backlog, ours were delivering last Sunday. Courier who came today said they're doing 7 days too. It'll come when it does..
