Hi looking at buying some 2nd hand Beinn 24 forks to fit to my son's bike, wondering if anyone has any experience with what max tyre width that will fit is?

IIRC we ran 2.1 rocket rons with a bit of room to spare. I don't think you can go much bigger and if it was very claggy/muddy you are going to be trouble with those. For muddy days/races we swapped back to some narrower conti explorers - whatever the size islabikes recommend - I can't remember. The rocket rons were pretty good most of the time though.
