The BeOne 29ers at Merlin look an awful lot more bike for the same (or even less) money....

Those BeOnes are a fork upgrade away from a quality bike for next to nothing,.

This thread may just have cost me £499. Been looking for a budget XC 29er for a while, apart from the fork the Beone CRD comp looks amazing value, as do the others in the range to be fair. Shame there doesn't seem to be any information/reviews about them on the web anywhere though

That pinnacle looks good, looks a bit less "racey" than the beone....I like.

Bought the beinn for the wife a couple of years ago, bloody good bit of kit, really nicely made frame, I have eyes on it to either single speed or hub gear it when the bits run out.

Mainly bought it as the frame is designed to be upgradeable, but saw a review of it last year and it was awarded best budget MTB.

Very impressed
