The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) has instructed Babboe to stop selling cargo bikes because their safety cannot be sufficiently guaranteed. The cargo bikes can be sold again when it has been sufficiently demonstrated that they are safe, among other things by means of full technical documentation. That’s why the NVWA has demanded a recall.

Sounds pretty series as the recall even covers bikes previously fixed under an older recall and then they have stopped Babboe selling until the issues are resolved. Sounds quite severe action.

I did, but pre brexit. It's 5 or 6 years old now. Who do I take it up with, I think the retailer is still trading but no longer sells Babboe.
It's the retailer with whom you had a contractual relationship. You should start there...
