[Closed] is my garmin fixable?

The charging socket is faulty, plug it in and it doesn't charge, it flicks on and off, try and download and it still flicks on and off so by the time the PC has recognised the unit it's switched off again so downloading is very very sporadic.
I suspect it's a loose connection by the way it's behaving, anyone know of any possible fixes?

Try a different cable?
If not Garmin have a very reasonable repair / replace program

Yes may try a different cable if I can borrow one, will look into the repair thing.

Any corrosion?

Mine was corroded and had to replace for a reconditioned unit for around 75squid.

What sort of garmin ? My mrs connects power to her forerunner using a clothes peg to ensure connectivity....

I had that fault on an 800 that got wet one time too many. Found somewhere in Archway, London that fixed it by fitting a new usb socket for £30 while I waited.

A friend of mine had same issue and was fixed by Garmin

My 800 just died too. Can't keep a satellite fix. Sad times.

filled in a repair request form online, they did the rest.
