No it's a cycling forum, specializing in MTB-ing. I haven't read the mag for a while but they used to include articles that weren't mtb specific...

Anyways your the friday troll and I claim my £5.

You'll get no sympathy here but I have to admit that I feel more than a little uneasy knowing that there are people out there that ride road bikes.. It makes me feel slightly queasy to think that some of their perverse sweat may drip onto the trails that I ride..

Last survey we did around 40% of users claimed to commute to work at least once a week by bike! That was a surprise! Further questions about what sort of bikes they owned crystalised our view that our readers are 'cyclists with a lot of mountain bikes' 🙂

I have a road bike!

I suspect OP has had too many rides now where his MTB chums who also ride road bikes have left him for dust due to superior fitness...

Well if it isn't a troll - hard to believe - you may want to check out somewhere like Pink Bikes or Dirt instead 😉

As it is, this place if perfect for me. I'm not roadie enough for a road bike forum but I do like riding on the road. Frankly, some of the road rides where I live are much nicer than the off-roading. I embrace it all...

...apart from maybe singlespeeds and fixies 🙂

You seem very confused about facts are 40% of the bike threads about road bikes or commuting?
You have alse put your road thread on the bike thread not the chat section ...... I like people who dont follow their own advice so respect.

Try taking these letters and inserting them in the correct positions in your post

Or is spelling just for roadies ?

Dissapoin'T',I 'am not',stating 'the' facts,r'OA'd,on 'the' chat page, full stop and new sentence after "biking on here".
If you are going to be an arsht(sic) at least have the common decency to use the correct grammar and punctuaton.

I totally agree with the OP, I've nothing against road bikes but I don't want to read about them on a forum of an MTB mag.
There's a link to road.cc on every page - not to difficult to use it if you want to talk about road bikes.
Then the thread turns in to a childish spelling & punctuation attack - fairly sad.

Maybe we should write a browser plugin that removes any threads with the word road in, might save this sort of thread popping up.

Yawn

I wouldn't need THE POWER if the forum was kept on topic & they weren't put there in the first place.

This subject comes up time after time & always causes problems - time the mods sorted it out.

What if I ride a cyclocross bike? Is there no where for me?

In fairness today, I am mostly riding an all steel, singlespeed, unusual brand road type bike, with some bling parts, and that is far more in touch with what this forum is about than any mountain bike!

If you were not so sleepy, you would have noticed the owner, and one mod, have already contributed to this thread, stating their reasons for allowing roadie stuff.

Look. We all know roadies have issues, a bit hard of thinking and rather dull. Treat them as you would your retarded little brother - condescendingly and give 'em a good slap when mum is not looking.

It's a Bike Forum to talk about riding bikes, the fact that it's owned by a MTB Magazine means there's more MTB than road bikers. But as everyone is entitled to do both or neither and even dare I say it other things too they can chat about it. Bike chat for the bike forum and all other chat in they er chat forum.
