Surrey Police have just called me to tell me they've found my Rockrider 8.1 abandoned in some woods.
I explained it was locked in my garage in Manchester.
I'd registered the frame number online (just shows it works!) and part of the number matched, but of course just the bit saying what type of bike rather than the unique identifier bit.
Sooooo, if you've lost a bike, then call Surrey Police and reclaim it.
the owner is probably lying unconscious ten feet away?

Have you checked your garage ? ๐
I had mine nicked recently from Hampshire - will call. Contact details?
Which station / officer?
*fingers crossed*
Sorry Stimpy, I was a bit thrown by the randomness of it all and scrabbling round in the garage with an upside down bike in one hand and mobile in the other! The guy was called Ben, that's all I got.
Allthepies : I've got to admit I flippantly said "yeah, mine's locked in the garage, no problem....... Er....... Actually......... Let me just check........ Phew, I could have looked pretty foolish there"
I tried calling Surrey Police but it seems that without knowing either which station or officer they can't track it down on their system.

Guildford police station. They're checking it now to see if it's mine...
Stand down - not mine ๐
