Lowers price QR Revelation is around £300 but the same maxle version is £480 (lowest price I found)
Is is worth that much more?
thing is I miss my (QR) 130mm coil revs I sold a few years back and swapped for Pikes- which i didn't find much better but found them much heavier....
What model? My 20mm pair were £290!
Cycle surgery had them at £330 last week (140mm)
looking at 2010 versions dual air versions.
I have seen 2009 revs with maxles for around the £300 mark. another option but makes the question harder still and brings the 2010 alterations into play like redesigned arch and power bulge thing.....
rutland sold me my revelation dual air 2010's
** it would appear they've put the price back up ***
Personally, I'm not convinced, I've got a set of 130mm dual-air uturns with quick release (2008) and a set of 140mm dual-air uturns with maxle (2009). The weight difference isn't massive but then neither is the difference in use. I've had both forks in the same frames with the same wheel so it's a pretty direct comparison, and though there definately is a difference in accuracy/line holding, for me it's not really that significant. The acid test was going back to the QRs but they don't suddenly feel bad.
yes for sure and rutlandcycling doing 2010 150/maxle for 349£. Cheapest by far in the uk.

Lummox is right Rutland have put their prices up, though still below retail price.. Would be interesting to check Merlin prices then?
are the maxle ones the Team model? if so, you're paying for the upgraded damping too.
Yes, the maxle ones are the Team model so you do indeed get (and therefore pay for) better internals.
